Inside information: Swedish State aid for electricity to Hasopor AB, a subsidiary of the Partnera Corporation’s Foamit Group

In December 2022, the Swedish Parliament (Riksdag) decided on an electricity subsidy for businesses to mitigate the effects of rising electricity prices. The aid granted is based on the electricity consumption of the company between 1 October 2021 and 30 September 2022.

Hasopor AB, a Swedish subsidiary of the Foamit Group, which is part of the Partnera Group, applied for this aid as a limited company whose industrial production is subject to fluctuations in electricity prices. In addition, Hasopor is in a sound financial situation, which was a condition for receiving the aid.

On 30 May 2023, the Swedish Tax Agency granted Hasopor an electricity subsidy for the period from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022, during which Hasopor used 21 532 851 kWh of electricity in its operations. Hasopor received a subsidy of SEK 0,50 per kWh, i.e. a total of SEK 10 776 425, or approximately EUR 924 394.
